I found this group work very entertaining and active. I enjoyed the fact that we were allowed to do a play with our classmates. When we first started off, I personally think that no one had an idea of where we were going to be going with our plays until we all came together as a group and discussed what roles each of the group members were going to be playing. I personally think I played my part well as the 'Detective' listening to the person speaking and wait for the right moment to interrupt and start to ask the questions I thought needed to be answered. I was also part of the serious and main discussion whilst I was answering questions and creating them. Our group with the way we had practiced before the real play made it easier for me to understand where they were going with this and the places I could but in. Overall I think our group did a good job at asking and answering all questions asked.

Poem analysis
he cuts a sorry figure, the solitary vendor
among the sleeping bungalows
pedalling up the stubborn
aristocratic slopes of jesselton heights
Today in class we discussed a poem and for homework we had to write one paragraph on one of the verses in the poem. I decided to choose the verse above because it touched me in a way. For example he is just a simple street satay seller trying to earn a few ringgit for his family. He worked hard day and night and still the rich people of jesselton heights don’t see him for what he does or is trying to do. They are just being extremely arrogant and ignoring him all the time not interested in even trying, to help him out. I find this extremely sad because I would at least spare some of my time to buy some satay off of the man and fell proud that I have just helped one of the many hard workers out there support his family.

Lesson 1.1 ~ Poetry discussion (Reflection)
The poetry discussion lesson started off with an interesting activity using a wordle we had to put the words in the wordle into two separate groups which were, the terms we were 100% sure about and the words we were not so sure about.
The Introduction to the lesson, was a really well thought out way of helping us learn the words which we weren't to sure of. If our partner knew a word which we didn't they would explain it to us until we understood it correctly. Once we understood the words we wrote the words we both weren't to sure about on a separate piece of paper and pinned them to the board.
Then the whole class joined in and the words which were on the board and no one knew we took 3 or 4 down each and researched there meanings. When we had finished researching we walked around the class room and we told any one person what was on our card and what it meant for example 'Haiku' which is made up of 3 lines of 5, 7 and 5 syllables. After we had told them the meaning they had to then repeat what we said in order to receive our card.
Overall I thought that the lesson was fun and also found I learnt quite a lot of new word meanings. Also it was good getting to work as a whole class where everyone could join in.
